Hello, my name is Osvaldina Moreira. I am a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who has a deep love for fashion.
I discovered my passion for sewing during my high school years, and since then, I have been constantly coming up with new ideas and projects that are always a challenge to achieve.
In 2014, I took a leap of faith and created my own label. Initially, my creations were only meant for my family and close friends, but over time, my label gained more and more success.
Fashion is extremely important to me. Watching people wear my creations boosts my self-confidence.
It is extremely satisfying to see my ideas come to life and work towards achieving my goals.
This is how I have learned, still learn, and continue to grow as a person. Fashion is my own form of meditation.
In 2017, I made progress in sewing and brought various dresses to life. Despite the long hours of work and many trials and errors, it all paid off eventually.
Towards the end of the year, people from all over the country gathered to celebrate various industries' creative talents in a glamorous event.
This year's event featured many categories, and I must admit that the competition was fierce. Nonetheless, I am truly grateful to have won the prize for "Best Cape Verdean Fashion Designer".
Let's wait and see what will happen in 2024 and the years beyond.
